Welcome to the website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Madagascar, a reflection of our commitment to youth, sports, and the country’s development. In accordance with the General Policy of the State under the leadership of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Andry Rajoelina, and His Excellency the Prime Minister, Christian Ntsay, we are committed to developing human resources, promoting industry and economic transformation, and ensuring good governance in all our actions.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is structured around three major pillars:
Our ambition is to make Madagascar a major emerging sports nation by 2028. We are focusing our efforts on athlete training, supporting sports federations, and modernizing infrastructure. Olympic-sized gymnasiums, stadiums, and swimming pools meeting international standards are currently being built to enable Madagascar to shine on the African and global stage in several sports.
Youth development is at the heart of our priorities. We are working to create a favorable environment for the training, socioeconomic integration, and civic engagement of young people in the development of our nation. We are implementing programs aimed at building skills and creating employment opportunities for young people, while protecting them from the social ills that hinder their development.
Our ministry is committed to strengthening governance and transparency in the management of public resources. We aspire to become an exemplary administration in the Indian Ocean region by implementing good governance strategies and establishing public-private partnerships to promote the development of sports and youth infrastructure.
These goals, while ambitious, are achievable through everyone’s commitment. This website is a communication and transparency tool, allowing everyone to follow the progress of our projects, suggest ideas, and actively engage in the development of sports and youth.
